  1. I would like to recommend you movie, which made big impression on me. It's District 9. It's connection of science-fiction film with elements of fantasy. Created by one of the best producers ever - Peter Jackson. Shortly it is a history aliens that visited Earth because of lack of the fuel. Action takes place exactly in Republic of South Africa. After 20 years in isolation, aliens stared to complain about style of their living. In this movie we can see a lot of interesting personalities. There are a lot of special effects, but they were putted with consideration. But the best is not ordinary style of presentation. Some sort of documental movie with action elements like video self presentation.
This movie is one of the best i ever seen. A would also like to recommend Orphan movie and a grat computer game Wolfenstein III.

  2. I don't want to recommend the movie but do just the opposite. I watched 'A soloist' two days ago. This is the new movie with Jamie Foxx as a homeless talented man playing variety of instruments. At the very end of the movie it turned out that it is actually based on some real story and I really think that the idea of the movie is quite good but the movie itself definitely is not a masterpiece. Frankly speaking, it's really boring, nothing really happens and there is no conclusion. If anyone of you has been thinking about going to a cinema to watch this movie, don't do it ;)

  3. I would also like to do not recommend you a movie ;)
Few days ago I saw one of our (polish) romantic comedies - "Jeszcze raz". It was on tv before something that I was waiting for, so I didn't intend to watch it.
Movie is about mother and daughter, and ,of course, their romantic experiences. The action takes place during summer holidays, in the Tatry mountains and on the Baltic seaside.
Screenplay was written by Ilona Łepkowska, the queen of polish tv series. That explains the fact why this movie has so twisted and trivial plot. Maybe it would be better if it was a tv series, but it's not, so it's really hard to stay in front of the tv screen for 1,5 hour.
I'm not a big fan of romantic comedies, but I've seen some (mainly becuase my husband is ;) ). "Jeszcze raz" is one of the worst romantic comedy I've ever seen, despite that it has a quite good cast (Stenka, Frycz, Preis). I think this movie was filmed only because of mrs Łepkowska position in tv. Shame on her.

  4. Recently I went to cinema to watch "Galerianki". I'm sure that most of you heard what this film is about. That's why I want to concentrate on feelings I had after the projection.
While watching the film I could hardly belive that presented scenes reflect todays teenagers' lifes. I was shocked to see how some of them behave (especially girls), what they pay attention to and what is important to them. I was also frightened how sensitive they are and how easily they can be influenced by their peers. In my opinion there is a threat that money and sex will rule not only adults' but also many teenagers' world.
I reckon that this film is especially for parents. I belive it can open parents' eyes and show that lack of their attention is the main reason teenagers get lost. "Galerianki" should also be watched by couples planning to have children. The film will help them realize how difficult is to raise a child and what are the difficulties that may appear on the child's long way to adulthood.

  6. I'd Like to present Terry Gilliam's film: "12 Monkeys"

Somebody said: The whole scope of "12 Moneys" is completely insane, often confusing, sometimes almost unintelligible; but somehow at the end it all comes together and everything makes sense if you look at it closely enough.
